You may use our donation envelopes: stop by and pick up donation envelopes at Abraham House, call 315.733.8210 or email: info@theabrahamhouse.org and ask to have donation envelopes mailed to you.
Memorial Gift
Making a donation in Memory of someone will help others have a caring home at the end of their life. A letter acknowledging your memorial donation will be mailed to the family whose loved one has died. We do not share your donation amount only that a donation was made in their loved one’s memory. We will also send you a letter for tax purposes. Families may specify “memorials to Abraham House in lieu of flowers” in funeral notices. Many people also make annual memorial donations on their loved one’s birthday, anniversary of their death and holidays as a way of continuing to honor their memory.
“In Honor Of” Gift
Making a donation in honor of a living family member, friend, co-worker, or other individual is another way to help others have a caring home at the end of their life. It is a very generous way of acknowledging someone’s birthday, anniversary or accomplishment. A letter acknowledging your donation in honor of the individual will be mailed to them along with a letter to you for tax purposes.
In-Kind Gift
Abraham House has many ongoing needs for household items. Please see our Wish list for a list of those needed items.
Planned Giving
By making a planned gift to Abraham House you will help ensure our continued ability to provide a loving home for our terminally ill guests. Your commitment to Abraham House is important and we invite you to strengthen that commitment by considering one of the planned giving opportunities. What is the secret to making a gift that will provide the greatest meaning to you and to Abraham House? The answer lies in planning. The best plans are created by deciding what your goals are and determining how to accomplish them. A planned gift can be structured to provide gift, estate, and income tax savings while making the most of your contribution to Abraham House without sacrificing spendable income. A planned gift is often made through a will or a trust.
Planned Giving Opportunities
Wills or Living Trusts: Name Abraham House as one of your beneficiaries. You can name a gift of cash in a specific amount or a percentage of your estate or specify stocks, real estate or personal property.
Life Insurance: Name Abraham House as the beneficiary/owner of your life insurance policy.
Retirement Plans: Name Abraham House as the beneficiary of your retirement plan which can avoid income tax on the distribution of your plan.
Charitable Remainder Trusts: By naming Abraham House as the recipient of your Charitable Remainder Trust it allows you to receive tax benefits and ensure the future of Abraham House.

Staples Rewards: Abraham House can buy office supplies items with your Staples Rewards check.
Gold for Abraham House: Do you have gold coins, gold watches, and unwanted, broken or even ugly gold jewelry? Why not donate them to Abraham House? Do you have too little jewelry to bring to a “cash for gold business”? Abraham House will take as little or as much as you have to combine them with other gifts of unwanted gold items to raise money.

United Way: Abraham House does receive funds through United Way. We can receive your designated donations by writing Abraham House on your pledge form.
